Liquid nitrogen is a common wart removal treatment, but requires many sessions, often over the course of several weeks or months, and the rate of recurrence is quite hight. In some cases, warts that are treated with lasers are permanently removed after only a single treatment. In contrast to surgical removal, laser treatment for warts causes no scarring and little to no recovery downtime is required.
Laser wart removal is accomplished via the ND-YAG wavelength. The laser destroys the virus and successfully cuts off blood supply to the wart itself. This laser wart treatment is especially effective against stubborn warts and plantar warts found on the bottom of the feet.
Laser wart removal may require only a single session, but more may be necessary. While recovery time depends on the location and number of warts removed, most people can typically resume their normal daily activities.
